Internet in Burundi

Internet access in Burundi is controlled by the Centre National Informatique (CNI).  CNI is the only provider of full Internet access in the country at this time.  Their ISP is called Bujumbura and is connected through SkyNet in Belgium.  A few private companies like Bi-Network have set up email services due to the extreme burden on the CNI ISP.  The cost of setting up the service is 65 USD plus a monthly fee of 150 USD.  The are also charges for local calls in Burundi and these fees are .75 USD per hour.
