Internet in Uganda

Uganda was one of the first countries in sub-Saharan Africa to obtain a full Internet connection.  With only 65 000 lines in the country, Uganda's telephone network is at a very low level of development.  Infocom offers email for $30 per month, unlimited full Internet access for $50. Local calls cost US$8.4/hour during peak rates, US$4.2/hr 8pm-8am, and $2.1/hr Saturday afternoons and Sundays.
