Internet in Eritrea
As of June 1998, Eritrea had no full Internet service or ISP. There is limited email access through store and forward email systems. In March of 1998, the government issued a "Communications Proclamation'' stating the regulatory framework for all communications. At this point, proposals are being accepted for ISPs and other services. Programs like NetAfrica are also working in Eritrea in attempts to bring Internet technology up to date. Hopefully, full Internet access will follow shortly.
