Internet in Kenya
Kenya has one of the largest Internet populations in Sub-Saharan Africa. Currently there are 15 ISPs. Africa Online is the largest followed by Form-Net, Weblink Services, Net 2000, NairobiNet, Inter-Connect, ARCC, Insight Technologies, Kenya Online, Swift Global and a few others. Services provided by these companies costs between 7000-10000 KSH per month plus a 17% tax. Cybercafe Ltd. also offers full ISP service at cybercafes throughout the country. Thorn Tree also provides a forward email service. Fees for this service are 1250 KSH per month with a 17% tax. Local calls cost 3.50 KSH per every 3 minutes with a 17% tax.
